JOB TITLE: Surveyor
REPORTS TO: France Sales Director

English speaking is mandatory, even if 80% of the work will be in French, and we speak French in our France offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The surveyor
- Determines the customer/assignee’s needs and has the responsibility to match these needs with the company’s service capabilities
Pre-move survey
- Ensure you are equipped with all necessary equipment to carry out a full survey, eg Survey pack, Business cards, tape measure, digital camera, app. etc.
- Reach the customer/assignee's residence at the scheduled time.
- Be respectful of cultural surroundings.
- Understand various policies and allowances that relate to each account.
- Provide accurate assessment of HHG volume at residence, detailing the necessary labour, materials and time required to carry out the move.
- Ensure customer/assignee is reassured, understands the move process, custom formalities, insurance and additional relocation services.
- Fully explain services to the customer/assignee, and outline their responsibilities within the moving process.
- Gain additional business through cross selling additional services, such as Autosource, Smart Currency, pet moves and vehicle moves.
- Sell & advise on fully comprehensive Shipment Protection within our guidelines.
- Take digital photographs of access, parking, high value or delicate items and ensure they reach the coordinator.
- Feedback relevant information to the office within required timeframe. Customer/assignee instructions and requirements should be conveyed in a clear and concise manner.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, eg. Account Manager, coordinator, crews etc.
- Work closely with teams to ensure that any issues are resolved speedily and to the full satisfaction of the client.
- Do access checks for moving that arrive in your area, so the team can organize delivery.
- Quality Control visits throughout move process.
- Deliver packing materials to assignee in advance if required.
- Cover surveys for colleagues during holidays and times of absence.
- At all times be aware of opportunities to note further Sales situations, i.e the family move may be part of a group move, or the assignee may be replacing someone else who may also require relocations services.
- Attend surveyors meetings and share ideas and experiences.
